Located in Changchun, the capital city of Jilin Province in Northeastern China, the college has three campuses in three districts of Zhengyang, Xi’an and Heping，covering a total area of nearly 500,000 square meters and construction area of 306,000 square meters. There are a collection of 905,100 books in the library, more than 3,000 sets of teaching and laboratory equipments, multimedia classrooms and language labs with more than 4,100 seats. "Journal of JLBTC"is the academic journals edited and published by the college. A pretty good digital campus technology platform and service system have been built by means of the integrated computer network.
At present, there are 635 faculty members in JLBTC with 56 professors, 256 associate professors, 170 teachers with a doctor’s or a master's degree. Among the teachers, there are more than a dozen of National Teaching teachers, the Government of the State Council special allowance winners, authors of National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation, provincial senior experts and doctors, master instructors. This dedicated education community is a guarantee of excellence in teaching and research.
JLBTC consists of 11 branches (taxation, business administration, computer, finance, economy and trade, accounting, tourism management, cultural arts, biological engineering, food engineering, foreign languages) and 3 departments (Basis, Social Sciences and Physical Education). There are 15 undergraduate professionals such as accounting, business administration, marketing, tourism management, food science and engineering, biological engineering, financial management, international economic and trade, English, computer science and technology, economics, advertising study, human resources management, food engineering, finance and 41 specialty professionals such as finance, accounting, cooking technology and nutrition, advertisement design and production, food processing technology, biotechnology and the application, which are included in five professional categories: management, engineering, economics, literature and law disciplines. There are one state-level characteristics of professional, five provincial-level model of professionals, 2 state-level experimental teaching professionals, 6 provincial teaching reformational professionals. We’ve got one national perfect course, 5 provincial-level perfect courses and 42 provincial excellent courses. The interdisciplinary professional structure fully reflects both the advantages and characteristics of the college, as well as the strong capacity of adapting to the social requirement of the talents. JLBTC recruits students nationwide, and now there are 13,600 full-time undergraduates and college students studying at the college.
