At the same time, COIE has sent almost 70 students to study abroad in France, Holland, Japan and Korea by developing the “50 Chinese Engineers Program” with Paris-Tech, a dual-degree exchange program with the University of Science and Technology in Lille, a master’s degree program with Wageningen University, the Netherlands and student exchange programs with the University of Miyazaki and Kagoshima Prefecture College in Japan and Kyungpook National University in Korea. Furthermore, the college has also carried out a “2+2 Joint Undergraduate Student Program” with both the University of Melbourne, Australia, and the University of Manitoba, Canada. Now, NJAU is participating in the “Sino-American 1+2+1 Joint-Degree Program” organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange.
COIE has also welcomed students on exchange study tours from many foreign universities, such as the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Oklahoma State University in the USA, Kyungpook National University in Korea and Kagoshima University in Japan. COIE has also organized students from NJAU for exchange study tours to Oregon State University and New York State University in the USA, University of Miyazaki, Chiba University and Kagoshima Prefectural College in Japan, and Kyungpook National University in Korea.
In 2007, academic exchanges continued to strengthen and the mutual academic visits became more frequent between NJAU and universities in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. NJAU co-hosted the 3rd “New Century Health, Food and Environment Protection Forum” with Taiwan Chung Hua Technology University and held a Landscape Design training course for teachers and students from Taiwan Chung Chou Institute of Technology. In addition to sending 46 teachers and students for academic cooperation in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, COIE received 80 experts and students from Taiwan. In addition, COIE, entrusted by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Commerce and international institutions, held many international training programs, for example in the quality and safety of horticultural products, economic reform and development in rural areas, as well as hosting agricultural officials from ASEAN countries. At the end of June 2007, COIE and NJAU successfully held the “Exploring Africa, Pursuing Development” forum.
