LNUCTM offers programs in post-doctoral research, has two top-tier post-graduate degree programs, eight second-tier post-graduate degree accreditation authorizations, three top-tier Master’s degree programs, eighteen second-tier Master’s degree accreditation authorizations; as well there are four key programs for the State Bureau of TCM Administration and three provincial-level. Furthermore, LNUTCM is authorized by the State Bureau of TCM Administration to run five top-tier and seventeen second-tier research laboratories. There are also eight provincial-level key-laboratories and engineering centres. LNUTCM has a School of Graduate Research, six research institutes, two libraries and one museum. An intra-campus fibre optic network made up of a 1-gigabyte backbone with 100-megabyte desktop services connects the various schools and departments of LNUTCM. The library contains over 660,000 volumes of books and journals, and offers access to electronic resources. LNUTCM holds State-approved professorship assessment authority in the three disciplines of TCM, Chinese Pharmaceutics, and Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine. In recent years the LNUTCM has been awarded four State-level second-place honours in educational achievement together with one award for State-level “ Cream of the Crop” Course of Study and three awards for provincial-level. Three affiliated LNUTCM hospitals have been assessed as top-class, State-best institutes with five State-bureau-level and eleven provincial-level specialized clinics. For clinical training and internship LNUTCM has agreements with 30 hospitals, while 23 pharmaceutical training bases fill the need in that field.

Both our vision and our strategy have helped LNUTCM to play an important role in revitalizing the age-old Liaoning industrial-base and we are making immense contributions to education and research. Both nationally and internationally, the Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is steadily and surely advancing towards its goal of becoming a prominent university for traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese pharmaceutics.
