Application
1. Eligible applicants should deliver their applications and the following materials to the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange:
a) Application Form of Beijing Jiaotong University for Overseas Students;
b) Notarized certificates of study and academic record transcripts (photocopy acceptable);
c) Guaranteeing certification (Financial Support Statement) provided by guarantors of legal responsibility;
d) Health certification provided by a public hospital (Physical Examination Form).
2. Degree-pursuing applicants should deliver their applications during April 1st through May 30th of the year.
3. Language learning applicants should deliver their applications as early as they can.
4. Short-term language learning applicants intended for Summer should deliver their applications by May 31st; for Winter, by November 30th.
5. The qualified applicants will be provided with Student Visa Application Form for Overseas Student to Study in China (Form JW202) and the Admission Notice.
Tuition & fees
All the quoted prices hereafter are in Chinese yuan (¥RMB) and subject to periodical updates.

3. Books: about ¥400 per year.
Tuition fee should be paid by the beginning of the semester; if withdrawal or transfer happens after the beginning of the semester, the tuition fee will not be returned or transferred. For those who want to continue their studies but fail to pay the tuition fee on time, a payment delay of 2 months can be allowed with an overdue fine equivalent to 5% of the tuition fee.
If the cost standard is adjusted and cannot be informed to the students in time, the standard publicized by the university during registration will be regarded as the final standard. It is recommended that students inquire about the details when necessary.
Residence
Standard room: two beds each room with a private toilet room, a color TV set, a telephone and air conditioning.
Normal room: two beds each room with a color TV set, a telephone and air conditioning; each floor with pubic toilet rooms and public shower rooms, which are cleaned by the residence service everyday.
Meals
students can either take meals in student canteens or cook their own food in dorm kitchens.
Registration
New student should take the Admission Notice, JW202 form, Health Certification and 8 2-inch half-length photos to register at the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange according to the date as informed.
