It is necessary for the international students to master the skills of the Chinese language in order to communicate fluently with Chinese people or understand properly the meanings of the textbooks or materials printed in Chinese version during their further professional study or research work in China. The purpose of the Chinese Language Teaching Program(CLTP) of China Agricultural University(CAU) is to give opportunities for the international students, who will pursue their degrees in China or conduct the work using Mandarin in future, to learn Chinese language systematically.
With the experienced teachers who teach Chinese as a foreign language have been employed, the international students who study at CLT Center may begin their language study from either zero beginning or intermediate lever according to their Chinese language proficiency. There are no less than 20 credit hours a week while 32 credit weeks consist of one academic year. Intensive Chinese, Listening , Oral Chinese, Reading & Writing etc. are the key subjects while other various subjects such as Chinese history and culture, Agricultural Chinese, Taiji，Calligraph etc. may be chosen as well.
Apart from studying the regular Chinese language courses, we also organize international students to take part in some out-door activities such as educational visits, sight-seeing, watching acrobatics show, etc. so that the students can better understand Chinese culture and history (Some activities fees maybe have to be paid by students themselves in terms of different situation).
CLTP is approved by CAU officially to undertake the task of the Chinese Teaching for the Chinese Governmental Scholarship students who having been enrolled by CAU. We do welcome both scholarship students and self-support international students to study Chinese language through CLTP. Transfer students and short-term groups are welcome as well, please consult with us in advance.
Requirement: age from 18 to 60 years old and above the qualification of middle school
Application fee: 400 RMB Yuan (Non-Refundable)
Comprehensive Insurance: 400 RMB Yuan/term; 600 RMB Yuan/academic year
Tuition(Excluding textbooks):
8000 RMB Yuan/term, Discount Price: 7500 RMB Yuan/term;
16000 RMB Yuan/academic year, Discount Price: 15000 RMB Yuan/academic year
800 RMB Yuan/Per week
Accommodation(Training building inside west campus):
Single room: 3200 RMB Yuan/per month(Half year’s contract) or 2600 RMB Yuan/per month(One year’s contract)
One bed(share one room with another student): 1600 RMB Yuan/per month(Half year’s contract) or 1300 Yuan RMB/per month(One year’s contract)
All the above rooms are equipped with air conditioners , internet connecting-ports, washrooms with shower, furniture, telephones etc. Public kitchen and washing machine are available on each floor. Room electricity fee have to be paid by students.
