Language program

The International College offers both long- term (one term or above) and short-term Non-degree Chinese Language and Culture programs.

Application Deadlines
Applications for long-term studies are accepted from April 1st to June 15th for Autumn term and from October 1st to December 15th for Spring term.
Commencement of the program
The Spring term usually starts from late February and the Autumn term usually starts from early or middle September. For exact date, please refer to the Admission Notice.
TUITION
RMB9,000/term; RMB18,000/year

Admission Requirements
Applicants must be under 30 of age and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and having graduated from high school. Applicants must abide by Chinese laws and university regulations and respect Chinese people’s custom. Applicants of liberal arts programs must have an HSK test score of grade 6 or above; applicants of other programs must have an HSK test score of grade 4 or above.

Application Materials
1. Application Form for Bachelor's Degree Program to Zhejiang University
2. Senior high school diploma (original copy or notary copy in Chinese/English); Graduating high school students can provide Graduation Certificate instead and submit the original copy of the diploma;
3. Transcript for all the courses in senior high school (original copy or notary copy in Chinese/English);
4. HSK certificate
5. A photocopy of passport and a recent photo (white background, 35mm×45mm in size)
6. Remittance receipt of the application fee (RMB 400 yuan)

Registration
The usual time for registration is in late August or early September. The exact time will be confirmed on the matriculation notice. The matriculated should apply for an X visa at the Chinese Embassy. Usually a valid passport, matriculation notice, and JW202 table are need for the visa application.

For registration, the following documents are needed: a valid passport, matriculation notice, and JW202 table, an X visa, the bank counterfoil of the pre-paid tuition. High school graduation certificate and HSK certificate are required for students who submitted pre-graduation certificate and the copy of HSK certificate in application.


Master Degree Programs

Liberal Arts - RMB22,800/year
Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Economics, Business, Law - RMB28,800/Year
Medical science, Art, physical Culture - RMB32,800/Year
An extra RMB8,000/year will be charged for master’s programs whose language of instruction is English.

Requirements
Applicants must be under 40 of age and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and a bachelor’s degree. Applicants of liberal arts programs should have an HSK test score of level 6 or above; applicants of other programs should have an HSK test score of level 4 or above.

1. Application Form for Admission to Zhejiang University (Graduate/Scholar Program)
2. University diploma and bachelor’s degree certificate (original copy or notary copy in Chinese/English); graduating college students can provide Graduation Certificate instead.
3. Transcript for all the courses in college (original copy or notary copy in Chinese/English);
4. HSK certificate
5. A photocopy of passport and a recent photo (white background, 35mm×45mm in size)
6. Personal study plan (in Chinese/English)
7. Two letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors (in Chinese/English)
8. Remittance receipt of the application fee (RMB 400 yuan or US$ 50)

Enrollment
The university enrollment will be made on the basis of competitive selection according to the students’ academic performance in undergraduate studies, personal study plan and HSK test grade, etc. All the enrollment documents will be sent out before July 15th.


Ph.D. Programs

An extra RMB8,000/year will be charged for doctoral programs whose language of instruction is English.

Requirements
Applicants must be in good physical condition and under 45 of age in principle, holding a non-China passport and a master’s degree. Applicants of liberal arts programs should have an HSK test score of level 6 or above; applicants of other programs should have an HSK test score of level 4 or above. Doctoral programs whose language of instruction is English do not have Chinese language requirement.
